A special shout of thanks
to all those who helped
put a stop to the
Montana HB 191, to ban
Pit Bull ownership in
Montana!  1/22/09
I simply want to make it clear that I am not a Pit Bull Breeder.  I have simply loved the Pit Bull
Breed for a long, long time.  I feel that the breed has been horribly discriminated against, and I
find that they are wonderful family dogs.  This is simply my little way of supporting the breed.
Breed bans should not be placed in any state!!!!  States need to look at the type of people
owning these dogs that have caused numerous attacks, as well as the breeders of these dogs.

In my personal opinion, the states also need to look at these breeding facilities who own over 20
Pit Bulls and are pumping out puppies all the time!!!!  These poor dogs are left tied  up to dog
houses, outside, and hardly get any attention.  How can they get enough attention if the so
called breeder owns so many?

I can rant and rave about my opinions on the pit bull breed forever, however, I think it would be
easier if you can just follow the links provided gather the information for yourself, and base your
own opinion.
My beautiful Brandy, above.  She was a lovely Pit,
great temperment, loved to cuddle, attention hog.
She was given to us five years ago when we lived
in Idaho for a rescue situation at first, but we
decided to keep her.  A year later we moved back
to Montana, she was stolen from us, along with
Ares.  Ares, Pictured below and at right, was
purchased from Spokane, my oldest son was
using him as part of his 4-H project.
Rosie was found running down the highway in Sandpoint Idaho five years ago.  She was in heat, and bleeding
all over the place.  We brought her home, contacted the police department, and animal shelter.  During the time
we were trying to find Rosie's owner, she managed to chew a hole through the back dog of the mobile home we
were renting, a pit sized doggie door!  She destroyed a large wire kennel we kept her in to stop her from any
more destruction.  She had also ran away from us, bolted right out the door.  A couple found her that was
visiting and staying at a motel, she did $1500 worth of damage to the room when they left her alone!  She was
brought back to us, and 3 months later, no one has come forward to claim her, so we took her with us when we
moved back to Montana.  After Rosie had settled with us, she was no longer destructive.  Rosie had bonded
with my sister in such a way I had never seen with Rosie before, so Rosie went to live with my sister for a period
of time.  Rosie was spayed and spoiled.  Rosie was used as a therapy dog for my sister, and she did her job
very well.  Unfortunately my sister had to move and where she had moved too did allow dogs....but not dogs of
Rosie's kind.....it didnt matter that Rosie was then registered as a therapy dog.  Rosie was given back to us.
Sadly we lost Rosie two years ago.  She had several strokes very close together.  Rosie had lost her sight,
balance and drive.  The best thing we can do for this wonderful girl was to have her humanely euthanized.
Rosie was cremated, and remains with us always.  We love and miss you Rosie Girl!
This is Apollo, a pit bull boxer mix we had for a rescue.
He was due to be put down at the Animal Shelter.  We
adopted him, and then found him a wonderful home.
This guy was such a charmer!  Still to this day, we see
Apollo and his new family around town.
Saphyra, a wonderful Blue and White girl!!!!  She is so full of love!
Unfortunatly Artemis and Saphyra had personal issues after Saphyra reached
maturity.  It was a issue that was unresolved.  In the best interst of Saphyra, we
recently placed her in a home where she is the only dog.  She now currently
lives in Virgina.
My baby girl Artemis!!!  I was there the night she was born, she was the
first out.  When she was three weeks old, my friends who owned the
mother lost their home, so I took Artemis and her brother Achilles.  Achilles
was placed in a great home, and we kept Artemis.  Artemis still lives with
us.  She was allowed to have one litter, which resulted in two puppies, all
fixed, in wonderful homes.  Artemis will be 3 years old Jan 31st.
